Alison Begor, SHRM-SCP, is the Chief Human Resource Officer at McBrayer. Previously, she served as the Associate Vice President and Director of Human Resources at Transylvania University, where she provided strategic direction for daily HR functions by aligning department initiatives with the university's annual plan. Prior to her time at Transylvania University, Alison spent seven years as the Assistant Dean and Director of Finance & Administration (HR) at the University of Kentucky David J. Rosenberg College of Law.

Alison has held various HR roles, managing multiple concurrent projects and streamlining processes to achieve organizational goals and enhance employee experience. She initiated a new supervisor training program that resulted in consistently higher-performing managers and improved organizational culture and cross-departmental collaboration. Additionally, Alison worked with senior leadership to implement flexible work options, leading to increased morale and reduced employee turnover among remote teams.

Alison is the author of "Work-Life in Balance" and is frequently a guest on podcasts to discuss this topic. She is also an accomplished Executive Coach, advising and coaching clients for improvement in leading teams, having difficult conversations, managing career transitions, and feeling more confident and calmer in their work lives. Alison received a bachelor’s degree in Music and Arts Administration from the University of Illinois and a Master of Science in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of Louisville. She resides in Lexington with her two sons.
