Overview
Through his work as a real estate attorney in Lexington, Kentucky, Brendan Yates gets to see how the city developed in the past and how it’s evolving for the future. In his practice, Brendan helps his clients address their real estate needs, whether commercial or residential, as they shape the communities in which they live and work. He understands that a transaction is more than just a legal process to his clients, so he approaches every matter with a listening ear and a practical approach to ensure that his clients are comfortable and confident throughout even the most complicated transactions and/or legal disputes.
Brendan has the knowledge, skills, and experience to handle any real estate or construction legal needs his clients may have, including residential and commercial closings, drafting and negotiating commercial and residential leases, residential and commercial lease disputes, landlord-tenant issues (including evictions and lease enforcement issues) and contract negotiation and review. Brendan also has a wealth of experience in commercial and business litigation, so he is prepared to advocate for his clients in even the most contentious situations. In any matter, Brendan places great value on making sure his clients stay informed and in assisting his clients achieve their desired goals and objectives.
Outside of the office, Brendan enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending live music events, and traveling. He served on the board of the Lexington Public Library Foundation from 2014 to 2020.
